Fingerprint Art Getting Started 

Cover your work area with newspapers.

To make basic fingerprint pictures, press a finger firmly on an ink pad or paint sponge.

Practice on scrap paper to see what your prints look like.

After you practice then press the inked finger on your fancy paper, card, etc to leave a print.

Draw details on the fingerprints with black or colored markers to make creatures or designs.


Fingerprint Art Tips
 

Use different fingers for different print sizes.

Use pencils easers for creating centers for flowers

Place fingerprint art across the top and bottom of cards

Place fingerprint art around all the outside edges of the card

Place fingerprint art in the fours corners of the card.

Types of cards: Thank You Cards, Christmas Cards, Birthday Cards, I Love You Cards, Thanks Giving Cards, Halloween Cards, etc.

Other forms of using fingerprint art: Recipe cards, magnets, ornaments, picture frames, etc.

Create sets of note cards for grandma and grandpa. Tie twine or ribbon around a stack of 12 cards with envelopes.

Frame the finger art and give as gifts to loved ones.

Have your finger art printed on a mug or plate.

Balloons, happy faces, caricatures, etc.

Apples, pumpkins, strawberries, etc.

Flowers, leaves, wreaths etc.
